Smitten Kitchen’s Salted Brown Butter Krispie Treats are my absolute favorite way to use marshmallows (besides roasting them over a campfire, of course!)

I love s’mores bars. So delicious and gooey!
Perfect treat to culminate a delicious dinner.
Here’s my favorite recipe.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 12 minutes
Yield: 16
Ingredients
* whole graham crackers (about 14)
* 3/4 cup unsalted butter
* 2/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
* 1/2 cup 2% milk
* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
* 2 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chunks
* 3 cups mini marshmallows
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 °F and grease a 9-inch square pan. Line pan with parchment paper so that paper hangs over two sides of the pan. Line bottom of pan with a single layer of whole graham crackers (about 4 ½ crackers).
2. In a sauce pot, melt butter and stir in brown sugar, milk and vanilla until dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in graham cracker crumbs (this will make a soft paste). Spread half of the graham mixture over the cracker-lined pan. Sprinkle with a third of the chocolate chunks and half of the marshmallows. Top marshmallows with another layer of whole graham crackers and spread remaining graham mixture over top. Top with another third of chocolate chunks and the remaining marshmallows. Finish with a last sprinkle of chocolate chunks and bake for 12 minutes, until marshmallows have browned. Cool completely before slicing.
3. S’mores Bars can be stored in an airtight container for 3 days.
I tweeted too!
As silly as this sounds, nothing beats just a toasted marshmallow on an open fire on a nice, cool summer night.
Hello Lydia, I like an oldie, but goodie! KELLOGG’S RICE KRISPIES TREATS http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1842,150162-238201,00.html
I also love peanut butter and tend to add a few tablespoons of that to the mix too!!!
STICKY BUNS
1 tube crescent rolls
8 lg. marshmallows
Melted butter
Brown sugar & cinnamon mixture
Dip marshmallows in melted butter, then cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Then wrap 1 section dough around the gooey marshmallow.
Then take dough with marshmallow goo in center and dip in butter and sugar mixture, then put in a cupcake tin (greased if not teflon).
Do 7 more times. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes 8
My Mother was raised on these and now I love them too!

I LOVE making Kellogg’s Rice Krispie Treats! http://www.ricekrispies.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=marshmallow%2Btreats%2Brecipe&utm_content=Marshmallow&utm_campaign=Consideration%2B-%2BRecipes#/recipes/the-original-treats
Fluffernutter sandwich.
-Lightly toast your fave bread.
-Place 2 marshmellows on one slice & microwave for like 10 seconds. Watch it. They blow up. You can also just put the marshmellow on the toast in a toaster oven.
-Spread peanut butter on the other slice.
-Combine for deliciousness.
*For a fun spin, use Nutella instead of PB.
And rice krispie treats (homemade with a little extra butter) are a close, close second.
